The Suzuki Method was developed by Japanese musician and educator, Doctor Shinichi Suzuki (1898-1998). The Suzuki method employs the "mother tongue" approach--a child will attain music skills the way he or she learns to speak--through exposure, imitation, and encouragement. Parental participation and support--in lessons, practice at home, and daily listening to recordings of their repertoire--are cornerstones of the Suzuki method and essential to your child's success.
Private lessons provide a student with excellent, sequential instruction in music, with the added opportunity for one-on-one student-teacher time.
