PROGRAM COORDINATOR

DESCRIPTION

Encore Music Academy is seeking a Program Coordinator. This position will provide support to EMA faculty, staff, families and students and manage several programs including Encore Youth Choir, McHenry County Youth Orchestra and Voices in Harmony. This is a part-time, 30-hours per week position beginning on or before August 1, 2019.

ORGANIZATION OVERVIEW:
Since our founding in 2005, Encore Music Academy has successfully motivated and inspired hundreds of young people with high-quality music education. Encore’s broad-ranging comprehensive curriculum, financial support, sense of community and the standard of excellence set by the faculty, staff and students are major components of Encore’s success.


Encore offers a multi-leveled, structured curriculum of choral and instrumental music instruction. Instruction is offered to over 500 students of all ages from infants to adults and from beginners to college-bound music majors by passionate, experienced and highly educated professional faculty. Encore Music Academy is a not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization with an annual operating budget of $600,000 of which 28% is supported by contributed revenue.

REPORTS TO: Executive Director


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides organizational and managerial support for the programs of the Encore Music Academy
Acts as liaison for parents/students with staff and administration
Manages programs of EMA including Encore Youth Choir, McHenry County Youth Orchestra, Voices in Harmony

PERSONAL SKILLS/ATTRIBUTES/QUALIFICATIONS:
Interest and passion for children, music and arts education
Background in music
Customer service experience
Pleasant demeanor, positive attitude, ability to lead
Excellent computer fluency, social media savviness, communication skills, attention to detail and ability to work in a team environment.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience

HOURS
30-hours/week
Mondays 4-10pm, Wednesdays 10-3pm, Saturdays 8-1pm
Additional evenings and 16-18 weekends for auditions, concerts and rehearsals, including overnight retreats August 16-17 and August 24-25. Remaining hours will be set with Executive Director upon hiring.

Commensurate with experience and education
